Hey everyone,

It hit me the other day that not everyone likes/wants to watch my day to day videos and would rather read instead. So here is a quick run down of my time here in Thailand…

My team and I are partnered with a ministry called Fountain of Hope. We live, sleep, eat, and do worship here with Wanida and her 12 kids. 2 of her kids are biological and the other 10 are under her care for a variety of reasons. It’s been a huge blessing living here with them and being apart of their family for the past 6 weeks. Whenever we are not at home we have been apart of aray of different ministries:

The first week we were stationed here on the homestead doing manual labor ministry / harvesting Logan / getting to know the kids.

The second week we started working at a public school and a monk school. So Monday, Tuesday, Friday we would be at the primary school teaching 1st- 9th grade teaching 11 classes from 8am-3pm. Then Wednesday and Thursday we would go to a monk school and teach 3 English classes. After the monk school we would do house visits on Thursday afternoons.

This week was a huge stretch for us because none of us have had experience teaching English like this before. Where we had to lesson plan, teach multiple classes, and had zero teacher assistance to help translate. It was hard but the lord gave us wisdom to know what to do and strength to teach.

Saturday we had off and Sunday we helped plan and teach Sunday school and a church sermon.

The third and fourth week were the same as week two except we were granted permission to have Fridays off as a sabbath.

The firth week things switched up and instead of going to the public school we went to a private Christian preschool. I absolutely loved this ministry. The kids were so cute and the women that work there are so amazing at what they do it is so joyful being around them. We also went to the preschool after the monk school on Wednesday and Thursday.

The fifth week switched back to manual labor where my team de weeded a garden. We then headed to a village to spend the night and do farm ministry / house visits. Unfortunately, it poured our entire stay there so we used this time to sabbath and pray.

Our last week here is scheduled for farm ministry, monk school, house visits, and preschool ministry.

I’ve loved being in Thailand and working with our host and getting to know different people in the community. I’ve also loved how different our ministry is day to day. I can’t believe this is our last week here!
