                                       just jump

Part of my squad and I embarked on an adventurous cliff-jumping expedition today, an exhilarating mix of thrill, excitement, and a touch of fear. Gazing down from the edge induces a stomach-churning sensation, a battle between the instinct to retreat and the urge to just jump. The leap itself is a free fall, what feels like an eternity suspended before the refreshing plunge into the depths below. The quiet stillness of the water envelops you, bringing a profound sense of calm.

Isn’t this analogous to our journey as Christians though? To take that leap of faith for God, transcending comfort zones and embracing His plan? Some might deem it daunting, but in truth, His design is unparalleled. No need to cling to the platform or wait for a countdown—just take the leap. Even if you can’t swim. Metaphorically or literally. My friend Josie took the leap without (literally) being able to swim, fully entrusting herself to God’s guidance. Believing He would lead her out of the dark waters. Trusting she wouldn’t drown. Trusting He would provide teammates there to help her stay afloat in hard times. Her faith, greater than a mustard seed, transformed the experience into something truly awe-inspiring.

So, my encouragement to everyone is to jump into faith. Following God’s path is unparalleled; He wouldn’t prompt you to jump without a purpose. Trust, have faith, and witness the incredible journey unfold.

Over and out,

Love, Caroline

psa. I’m not telling you to go physically jump and hurt yourself.. this is just for metaphorical purposes only.. stay safe people

  2. Wow! what a beautiful setting to take the plunge! And what faith Josie had to do that! I love how you connect that to the Christian life of jumping in when we don’t know the outcome, yet in faith and trust we go forward, You are right, it’s exhilirating, terrifying, and satisfying all at the same time!
